Leona F. Mattei, 52, Active Member of Daughters of the American Revolution
Leona F. Mattei (nee Graham), age 52, of Lorain, died Wednesday January 10, 2007 at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center in Lorain following a brief illness.She was born October 12, 1954 in Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania and had resided in Lorain since 1978 moving from Lakewood.
Leona was a graduate of Cleveland State University where she received a Bachelor of Arts in History.
She was a member of the Catholic Church of St. Peter in Lorain, a member and Vice Regent of the Daughters of the American Revolution Nathan Perry Chapter of Lorain and the Italian-American Veterans Post No. 1 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed arts and crafts, quilting, and gardening.
She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Eraldo Mattei of Lorain, sons Michael Mattei and Mario Mattei, both of Lorain, parents Charles Graham, Jr. and Arlette (nee Hartman) Graham, both of Lakewood, sister Elaine Campbell of Westlake and brother Charles Graham III of Sheffield Lake. She was preceded in death by her infant brother Brian Graham.
The family will receive friends Friday 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9:00 a.m., followed by the mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. The Reverend Charles Henkle, associate pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
