Dorothy Smith , 69, Member of St. Mary Catholic Church

She was born November 23, 1937 in Lorain, Ohio and has been a Vermilion resident for the past 10 years.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Vermilion and enjoyed shopping, water aerobics, and visiting with family and friends.

Survivors include her husband of 42 years, James E. Smith: son, David J. Smith of Lorain; daughters, Denise D. Kovach of Huron, and, Diane E. Meyer of Amherst; 6 grandchildren; and brother, Donald Suchey of Elyria.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Stephen and Leokatia "Lottie" (nee Siepietowski) Suchey.

Friends may call Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2007 from 4-8 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South St. Vermilion where there will be a Christian Wake service at 7:30 p.m.

Prayers will be said at the funeral home on Thursday, Jan. 18, 2007 at 9:30 am followed by a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Catholic Church, 731 Exchange St. Vermilion, with the Rev. Jim Holmer officiating.

Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
