Paul R. "Spase" Fotevski , 72, Born in Macedonia

Paul R. "Spase" Fotevski 72 of Lorain died Monday, January 15, 2007 in Community Health Partners Hospital following brief illness.

He was born May 11, 1934 in Ljubojno, Macedonia. He emigrated from Macedonia to Lorain in 1955.

Mr. Fotevski owned and operated Paul's Barber and Styling Shop in Amherst. He retired in 1985 as machinist from U. S. Steel, Lorain. He worked there for 35 years.

He was a member of Saint Cyril and Methodius Orthodox Church, Lorain and was a former treasurer of Saint Clement of Ohrid Macedonian Orthodox Church, Avon. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed gardening, canning his own produce, making Macedonian sausage and walking and socializing with his friends.

Among the survivors are his wife of 46 years Mary Fotevski (nee Topaloff) of Lorain; daughters Elaine Starcher of Elyria, Nancy Leonard of Avon and Linda Cristiano of North Olmsted; four grandchildren ; sisters Danica Culakovski, Velka Peteovski and Slavka Germanski all of Macomb, Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his parents Risto and Fanija (nee Stefanoff) Fotevski; brother Jonce Fotevski and a sister Donak Klunkovski.

Friends may call Friday, January 19, 2007, 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 east 31st Street, South Lorain. Where Trisagion prayer service will be Friday evening at 7:30 PM in the funeral home. Funeral service will be Saturday, January 20, 2007 10:00 AM in Saints Cyril and Methodius Orthodox Church, 3056 Reeves Avenue, Lorain. Reverend father Paul Monkowski, Rector will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood cemetery, Lorain.
