Hazel Marie Hill , 96, 1929 Graduate

She was born February 21, 1910 in Jefferson Twp., OH. She had been a Vermilion resident for 51 years, moving to New London in 1998 and Norwalk in 2000.

She graduated from High School in 1929. She was a member of the Vermilion E&R Church. She enjoyed playing cards with different groups, gardening, flower beds, and quilting.

Survivors include her sons, Henry James Hill of Prescott, Arizona and Tom Hill of New London, 4 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, sister, Helen Wilcox of Bellfontaine, OH and several nieces and nephews including her care takers: Betty Eberly and Nancy and Marvin Wright.

Preceding her in death were her husband Arthur Hill in 1999, parents, James Mortimore and Leota Mae (nee Wickersham) VanHyning, brothers, James "Bud" and Robert VanHyning, and sisters: Ruth Kelley, Katherine King, and Alice VanHyning.

Friends may call Friday, Jan. 19, 2007 from 6-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South St. Vermilion, OH.

Friends may also call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 12 noon on Saturday, January 20, 2007 at the funeral home. The Rev. William A. Seith will be officiating.

Interment will follow in Brownhelm Cemetery, Vermilion.
