Betty A. Stanford, 75, Bookkeeper

She was born August 25, 1931 in Earle, Arkansas and moved to Vermilion in 1958 from West Memphis, Arkansas.

She worked as a bookkeeper for 35 years for Erie Electronics in Vermilion, retiring in 1998. She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church, Vermilion where she taught Sunday School and was on the finance committee. She enjoyed international travel and doing needle work including knitting.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Floyd Stanford; son, Perry "Pete" Stanford of Goshen, OH; daughter, Teresa Stanford of Independence; 3 Grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and 3 sisters, Janie Powers of Jasper, Alabama, Vicki Moore of Memphis, Tenn., and Sandra Liberto of Apex, NC.

Preceding her in death were her parents, George and Mildred (nee Cox) Perry and a sister, Sue Scott.

Friends may call Sunday, Jan. 21, 2007 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South St. Vermilion, OH 44089.

Services will be held Monday, Jan. 22, 2007 at 10 a.m. at Lakeview Baptist Church 591 Ferndale Ave. Vermilion with the Rev. Guy Morton officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
