Helen E. Boytar, 97, Enjoyed Reading and Gardening
Helen E. Boytar (nee Borsos), 97, of Westlake and formerly of Vincent, died Monday, January 22, 2007 at Westlake Healthcare Center in Westlake after a brief illness.She was born December 2, 1909 in Topolzit Magyar Hungary and had resided in Westlake for the last 12 years moving from Vincent. She grew up in South Lorain.
Helen worked as a Sales Associate at O’Neils Department Store in Sheffield Center. She also worked in the cafeteria at Vincent School and had been a seamstress at S. Weitz Clothiers in Lorain.
She was a member of Family Fellowship Foursquare Gospel Church in Amherst where she taught Sunday school, was a soloist for the Hour of comfort and participated in the bible study Encouragers Group.
She is survived by her daughter, Anita K. Cillo of Westlake, sons: Delbert Boytar and his wife Corrine of Rocky River and the Rev. Elder Tom Boytar and his wife Marcia of Chardon, 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Andrew G. Boytar in 1979, parents Alex & Anna Borsos (nee Beno) and brothers Alex Borsos and Dan Borsos.
The family will receive friends, Friday, January 26,2 007 from 4-8 p.m. at the Gluvna Shimo Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain and Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 11 a.m. at Family Fellowship Foursquare Gospel Church, 780 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Pastor Bill Mouer will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Township.
