Mary Ann Kobylka , 58, Enjoyed homemaking, collecting baskets

Mary Ann Kobylka (nee Gdula) 58 of Lorain died Tuesday, January 23, 2007 in New Life Hospice Center of Saint Joseph, Lorain, following a lengthy illness.

She was born January 30, 1948 in Lorain. She was a life long Resident. She graduated from Clearview High School in 1966.

Mrs. Kobylka was employed a floor secretary for Community Health Partners Regional Medical Center, Lorain. She had also worked as monitor technician and in the dietary department there and at the former Saint Joseph Hospital, Lorain. She worked for Saint Joseph and Community Health Partners for 16 years. She had worked for Sears Appliances in Elyria.

She was a member of Saints Mary and Peter Catholic Churches, Lorain, She attended Saints Cyril and Methodius Orthodox Church, Lorain. She enjoyed homemaking, family gatherings, reading and collecting baskets.

Among the survivors are her sons Michael Kobylka, II of Lorain and Andrew Kobylka of Toledo; daughter Kimberly Vazquez of Avon; six grandchildren; brother Stephen Gdula of Lorain and a sisters Kathryn McNary of Lorain and Diane Firth of Elyria.

She was preceded in death buy her parents Steven and Mary (nee Kuzoff) Gdula, a brother Daniel Gdula.

Friends may call Friday, January 26, 2007, 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 east 31st Street, South Lorain, where a Trisagion prayer service will be Friday evening at 7:30 PM in the funeral home. Funeral service will be Saturday, January 27, 2007 10:00 AM in Saints Cyril and Methodius Orthodox Church, 3056 Reeves Avenue, Lorain. Reverend Father Paul Monkowski, Rector will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood cemetery, Lorain.
