Mary M. Nalepka, 88, Slovak Lodge Member
Mary M. Nalepka (nee Turon), 88, of Lorain, died Saturday January 27, 2007 at the Renaissance of Olmsted Township after a short illness.She was born September 25, 1918 in Pennsylvania and had resided in Lorain most of her life. For the last 2 years she had lived in Westlake.
Mary was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Lorain, St. Ann Lodge #114, Slovak Catholic Sokols Wreath #111, the Fraternal Catholic Slovak Ladies Association and the Salvation Army Keenagers.
Mary enjoyed cooking, reading, word search puzzles, being outdoors, shopping, crocheting and bingo.
She is survived by her son Jon Nalepka of Strongsville, grandchildren Bonnie Mason of Cleveland, Joyce Klosz of North Olmsted, Annette Nalepka of Florida and Michael Nalepka of Strongsville, 3 great grandchildren, brothers Edward Turon of North Olmsted and Martin Turon of Florida and sisters Bernice Turon of Lorain, Kaye Papajcik of Mentor and Ethel Matus of Wakeman. She was preceded in death by her husband John A. Nalepka in 1983, daughter Evelyn M. Martinosky-Gonzalez in 2000, parents Martin & Pauline Turon (nee Baran), brother Albert Turon and sisters Helen Kurish and Janet Squires.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 30, 2007, from 4-8 PM at the Gluvna Shimo Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain where St. Ann Lodge #114 will recite the rosary Tuesday at 4:15 pm and a Christian Wake Service will be held Tuesday at 7:30 pm.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 9:30 am in the funeral chapel followed by the mass of Christian Burial Wednesday at 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 2428 Elyria Ave., Lorain. The Rev. Paschal Petcavage, associate pastor of Assumption Catholic Church in Broadview Heights and the Rev. Mr. Robert Dybo, deacon of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Lorain, will concelebrate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
