Orpha "Jean" Wolfe , 68, Avid Steeler's Fan
Orpha "Jean" Wolfe (nee Cramer), 68, of Wakeman, died Tuesday, January 30, 2007 in Allen Memorial Hospital after a short illness.She was born September 7, 1938 in Grafton, WV, and was raised in Terra Alta, West Virginia. She lived most of her adult life in Lorain before moving to Wakeman 8 years ago.
She had worked as a nurses aid for Amherst Manor Nursing Home.
She enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren, visiting garage sales, candy making, and listening to bluegrass and country music. She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
She is survived by her 2 daughters, Kathy Fergus of New London, and Pauline Lowery of Lorain; 3 sons, Charles Courtney, Jr of Huron, Gene Courtney of Lorain, and Norman Courtney of Florida; 2 brothers, Edgar "Buck" Cramer of Middlesex, Maryland, and Kenneth "Butch" Cramer of Vermilion; 2 sisters, Dorothy Summers of Vermilion, and Betty Sypolt of Terra Alta, WV; 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her infant sister, Pauline Cramer; brothers, Danna and William Cramer and her parents, Hugh and Margaret (nee Smith) Cramer.
Friends may call Friday, February 2, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio.
Services will be held at the Riddle Funeral Home, Saturday, February 3, 2007, at 10 am with the Reverend Guy Morton, pastor emeritus of Lakeview Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Wakeman Township Cemetery.
