Kathleen E. Czompoly, 77, Saint Joseph Parishioner

Kathleen E. (Sellers) Czompoly, age 77, of Lorain, died Sunday February 4, 2007 at the Welcome Nursing Home in Oberlin following an extended illness.

Mrs. Czompoly was born in Lorain on December 19, 1929 and had remained a life-long resident of the city.

She was a parishioner of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Lorain. In the earlier part of her life she had been employed by the Crystal Clear Cleaners in Lorain. She was an avid bowler who enjoyed participating in various leagues hosted by Rebman's Recreation.

In her free time she enjoyed reading, baking, and needlework. Regarded as an accomplished cook, she also enjoyed solving both crossword and jigsaw puzzles, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of forty-five years Nickolas, son Mark Sellers and daughter-in-law Christy residing in Amherst Township, daughter Beverly Reaser of Carlisle Township, six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and sisters Shirley Meaney of Columbus and JoAnn Orosz of Amherst.

She was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Kathrine (nee Kramer) Miller, and by brothers Robert, William, and Thomas.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel - 3224 Broadway Avenue - Lorain where a Cristian Wake Service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be Wednesday beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel and will be followed at 10:00 a.m. by funeral services in Saint Joseph Catholic Church -West 15th Street and Reid Avenue - Lorain. Reverend Mr. Luis A. Maldonando, Pastoral Adminsitartor of Saint Joseph Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery - Lorain
