Sandra J. Rushinsky , 68, Former Bank Teller at Elyria Savings & Trust

Sandra J. Rushinsky (nee Rakich), 68, of Logansport, Indiana and formerly of Lorain and Elyria, died Tuesday February 6, 2007 at her home after a short illness.

She was born November 29, 1938 in Lorain and had resided in Logansport since 1985 moving from Lorain.

Sandra worked as a bank teller at the former Elyria Savings and Trust. After moving to Logansport she worked as a receptionist for the office of Dr. Abbasi and Dr. Calisto.

She enjoyed bingo, traveling, golfing, spending time with her grandchildren and collecting Thomas Kinkaide items.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years Michael J. Rushinsky, Sr. of Logansport, Indiana, son Scott M. Rushinsky and his wife Jill K. of Logansport, Indiana, daughter Deborah A. Koniarczyk and her husband John of North Ridgeville, stepdaughter Candace M. Bronish of Houston, Texas, stepson Michael J. Rushinsky, Jr. and his wife Wendi of Johnson City, Tennessee, mother Cecelia Rakich (nee Tesarek) of Westlake, brother David Rakich and his wife Mary of Olmsted Township, grandchildren: Christian Burkey and his wife Holli of Houston, Texas, Brittany Burkey of Lakewood, Michelle Rushinsky of Lorain, Rachael Rushinsky of Logansport, Indiana, Luke Koniarczyk and Daniel Koniarczyk, both of North Ridgeville, Elijah Rushinsky, Isaiah Rushinsky and Noah Rushinsky, all of Logansport, Indiana, Alicia Zartman of South Bend, Indiana, Jarod Zartman of St. Petersburg, Russia and Jonathon Ulisse of Houston, Texas and great grandson Anthony Burkey of Houston, Texas. She was preceded in death by her father David Rakich.

The family will receive friends Friday 4-8 PM at the Gluvna Shimo Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain where memorial services will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM. The Rev. Mr. Robert J. Dybo, deacon of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Lorain, will officiate.
