Kenneth Julius Majoras , 66, Lorain Products Retiree, Enjoyed Being Outdoors

Kenneth Julius Majoras, 66, of Amherst Township, died Monday February 12, 2007 at the Cleveland Clinic.

He was born May 19, 1940 in Lorain and had resided in Amherst Township for the past year moving from Lorain.

Ken was a 1958 graduate of Lorain High School. He worked as a tool designer at Lorain Products for 42 years retiring in 2000.

He was a member of the Hungarian Reformed United Church of Christ in Lorain and a past member of the church choir and Men’s Brotherhood. He helped in the kitchen with church dinner functions and assisted in making cabbage rolls for church fundraisers.

Ken enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, hunting, trapping, boating and gardening.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years Sandra D. (nee Ravis), sons Kenneth J. Majoras, Jr. of Lorain, Tad M. Majoras of Amherst, daughter Shelly D. Brewster of Oberlin and son Mark M. Majoras of Lorain, grandson Jacob Majoras and granddaughter Jordan Majoras. He was preceded in death by his parents Julius and Elizabeth Majoras (nee Olah) and sister Eleanor E. Duscha.

The family will receive friends Thursday 2-4, 6-8 PM at the Gluvna Shimo Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain and on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of funeral services at 11:00 AM at Hungarian Reformed United Church of Christ, 1691 E. 31st St., Lorain. The Rev. Peter Toth, pastor, will officiate. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon.
