Santiago "Jimmy" Amador , 57, Area Cook

Santiago "Jimmy" Amador 57 of Lorain, died Friday, February 16, 2007 in New Life Hospice Center of Saint Joseph, Lorain, following a brief illness.

He was born December 19, 1949 in Lorain. He was a life long resident.

Mr. Amador was employed as a cook for Geppetto's at Johnny Malloy's in Avon Lake for the past five years, he also cooked for Geon Company in Avon Lake. He was a welder for A. D. I. in Sheffield Village and Container Repair in Lorain.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain. He was also a member of United Polish Club and the Mexican Mutual both of Lorain. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and socializing.

Among the survivors are his mother Trinidad "Trini" Amador (nee Ramirez) of Lorain; Brother John Amador, Jr. of Sheffield Lake; sisters Lucia Silva, Margie Denure and Maria Espitia all of Lorain and Eleanor Amador of Sheffield Lake and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Juan C. Silva and a brother Hilario "Larry" Amador.

Friends may call Tuesday, February 20, 2007, 4:00 to 8:00 PM in Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, Ohio.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 21, 2007 with closing prayers at the funeral home at 8:45 AM followed by Mass of the Resurrection at 9:30 AM at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, South Lorain. Reverend, Father William A. Thaden, Pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
