James E. McCullaugh, 84, Owned and Operated the Tri-City Dental Lab

James E. McCullaugh, 84 of Vermilion, died Saturday, February 24, 2007 in Ohio Veterans Home, Sandusky after a lengthy illness.

He was born April 20, 1922 in Lorain and has been a Vermilion resident for the past 32 years.

He worked as a Dental Technician and owned and operated the Tri-City Dental Lab in Vermilion and served many dentists in the area.

He was a Veteran of the US Army serving overseas in Germany and France during WWII.

He was a member of the Brownhelm Congregational Church, American Legion #397, Vermilion. He was an avid golfer and bowler.

Survivors include 2 sons, Robert "Bob" E. and Scott L. McCullaugh of Vermilion, 5 sisters: A. Louise Staszak of Lorain, Lillian Zvosec of Elyria, H. Joan Hambly of Amherst, Barbara Swartz of Lorain, and Donna Morris of Wakeman, and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Linda (nee Gere) McCullaugh in 2000, parents, Robert L. and Agnes (nee Ralph) McCullaugh, sister, Margaret McCullaugh and brother Robert McCullaugh.

Friends may call Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2007 from 6-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home 5345 South St. Vermilion, OH where the Vermilion Veterans Council will conduct military honors at 6:00 pm.

Services will be held Wednesday at 10:00 am at the Brownhelm Congregational United Church of Christ, 2144 North Ridge Rd. Brownhelm with Rev. Elizabeth Terrill officiating. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
