Wilbur W. Wayman, 89, Enjoyed Woodworking
Wilbur W. Wayman, 89 of Elyria, formerly of Lorain died Thursday, March 22, 2007, at the Wesleyan Village in Elyria after a brief illness.Mr. Wayman was born in Pittsburgh, PA on September 12, 1917, moving to Lorain in 1947. He was a 1935 graduate of Brookline High School in PA. He was a veteran of the US Army Air Force. He served during WW II and was a staff sergeant.
He retired from US Steel in 1980 as an electrician following 32 years of service. He was a member of the Delaware Ave United Methodist Church in Lorain. He enjoyed woodworking, especially wooden toys and gardening. He was also a member of the Lorain American Legion Post 30.
Mr. Wayman is survived by his wife of 17 years, Lenore (nee Eastin) Wayman of Elyria, sons Allan W. Wayman of Lorain, Gregory W Wayman of South Amherst, 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 48 years, Elmyra (nee Haynes) Wayman who died on May 26, 1987, his parents Thomas and Jeanette (nee Littel) Wayman and two brothers Tom and Dave.

Funeral Services in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, March 27, 2007, with Rev. John Ferris, pastor of the Delaware Avenue United Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Resthaven Memory Gardens Avon, OH with full military burial honors provided jointly by the American Legion Post 30 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 451.
The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the Wesleyan Village, 807 West Street Elyria, Ohio 44035.
