Terri L. Atkinson, 45, American Slovak Club Waitress

She was born November 30, 1961 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident.

Terri worked as a waitress at the American Slovak Club during the Friday fish fry.

She attended Broadway Assembly Church in Lorain and West Ridge Baptist Church in Elyria.

Terri was a volunteer at Washington Elementary School in Lorain and enjoyed bingo, reading and visiting her family. She was a member of St. John/Holy Trinity Lodge #228 and the American Slovak Club Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband of 16 years Terry N. Atkinson of Lorain, daughter Donielle Atkinson at home, son Michael Burgess at home, sister Nancy Hobbs of Lorain, brother Grover Foster of Hollywood, Florida, sister Jeanette Zuffa of Lorain and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter Erica Jane Atkinson and parents Gordon & Mary Foster (nee Coleman).

The family will receive friends Thursday 2-4, 5-7 PM at the Gluvna Shimo Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain and on Friday from 12:30 Pm until the time of funeral services at 1:00 PM in the funeral chapel. The Rev. Matt Jones, pastor of Broadway Assembly Church in Lorain, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Township.
