Franklin D. Stewart, 77, Construction Operating Engineer
Franklin D. Stewart, 77 of Lorain died Tuesday, April 3, 2007, at the New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain following a short illness.Mr. Stewart was born in Nat, W.Va. on January 30, 1930, and has lived in Lorain since 1952. He was a construction operating engineer; retiring in 1993. He enjoyed visiting his family in Columbus and West Virginia.
He served in the US Army in the Korean Conflict era.
Mr. Stewart is survived by sisters Elsie J Alexander, Nora M Cordle both of Columbus, brothers William A.H. Stewart of Rushville, Cecil C Stewart of St. Albans, WVA, Charles T Stewart, Harry M Stewart, Orville J Stewart all of Columbus, and several nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his wife Maria (nee Gaall) Stewart in 1995, his parents Orville and Lovevada (nee Steel) Stewart, sisters Ruby Sayre, Icee M. Chapman, brothers James R. Stewart and Ottie C. Stewart.
Graveside services will be on Monday, April 9, 2007, at 2:00 PM in Elmwood Cemetery with Mr. James Hiser, officiating.
