Mary Yanick, 82, Enjoyed Spending Time With Her Grandchildren

Mary Yanick (nee Yergovich), 82 of Lorain died Thursday, April 12, 2007 in New Life Hospice Center of Saint Joseph, Lorain, following a lengthy illness.

She was born June 19, 1924 in Barrackville, West Virginia. She came to Lorain in 1960.

Mrs. Yanick worked for Bill and Don Catering in Sheffield Lake in many capacities for 15 years until 1981.

She was a member of Saint George Serbian Orthodox Church, Lorain. She enjoyed socializing, cooking, baking and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

Among the survivors are her son George Yanick of Lorain; daughter Clare May of Naples, Florida; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years Steve Yanick in 1996; parents Nick and Mary (nee Pintar) Yergovich; brother Steve Yergovich and a granddaughter.

Friends may call Monday, April 16, 2007, 4:00 to 8:00 PM in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain. Where a Pomen service will be Monday evening at 7:00 PM in the funeral home.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, April 17, 2007, 10:00 AM in the funeral home. The Reverend Father Milorad Orlich, pastor of Saint George Serbian Orthodox Church, Lorain will officiate. Burial will follow Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, Amherst Township.
