Maria A. ''Ta Ta'' Maldonado, 87, Enjoyed Arts and Crafts

She was born June 4, 1919 in Barcelonita, Puerto Rico. She moved to Brooklyn, New York in 1948. She lived in Lorain for nine years before returning to Puerto Rico in 1969 and coming back to Lorain to live with her daughter in 2006.

She was a home maker and mother who enjoyed arts and crafts, particularly making doll dresses. She loved to be in the company of her grandchildren and family.

Among the survivors are her husband of 66 years Santiago Maldonado of Lorain; son Jose Maldonado of Spencer West Virginia; daughter Maria Cirilo of Lorain; 16 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and three great great granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her parents Natalio and Maria (nee Garcia) Rivera; brother Luis Rivera and a sister Lucy Bloom.

Friends may call Thursday, May 3, 2007, 4:00 to 8:00 PM in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain. Funeral service will be Friday at a time to be announced.
