Irene Ann Quarando, 84, Enjoyed Traveling
Irene Ann Quarando (nee Jarzmik), 84 of Lorain died Thursday, May 3, 2007 at Kingston of Vermilion.Born July 17, 1922 in Lorain, she was a life long resident.
She worked as a key punch operator at Tapan in Elyria and later taught computer comprehension at St. Peters School in Lorain.
She was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, Lorain where she was active in the Mission Circle. She was a member of the Lakeland Women’s Club and was a hospital volunteer at Community Health Partners. She enjoyed traveling.
She is survived by her sons, Joe Buddy Quarando, St. Louis, Missouri and William Bill Quarando of South Amherst; a daughter, Elizabeth Prospal, Troy, Michigan; 9 grandchildren; and a sister, Angeline Harris of Amherst.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Genewa Gene Quarando in 1990; parents, John and Anna (nee Barczyk) Jarzmik; sisters, Mildred Klein and Helen Quarando; and a brother, Albin Jarzmik.
Friends may call Sunday, May 6, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Dombrowski-Humphrey-Riddle Funeral Home, 1939 Oberlin Ave. Lorain, Ohio. Prayers will be said at the funeral home Monday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 418 West 15th Street, Lorain. Father Robert J. Gllepko, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
