Alex Super, 81, WWII Veteran of the U.S. Navy

Photo of Alex  Super Alex Super, 81 of Lorain, died Thursday, May 31, 2007 in EMH Regional Health Center after a short illness.

He was born July 26, 1925 in Lorain and had been a life long Lorain
resident.

He was a WWII veteran of the US Navy, serving in the South Pacific Theater. He worked as a Laborer for Lorain US Steel Works retiring after 43 years.

He had been a member of Tower Baptist Church, Lorain and was attending St
Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, Lorain. He was a member of the VFW,
Lorain and enjoyed golfing, fishing, and hunting. And he was an avid
baseball fan.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Ann (nee: Dlugosz) Super; sons:
Rick Super of Ashland, OH and John Super of Bradenton, FL; daughters:
Sandy Drennan of Lorain, and Joan Kritz of Lorain; 8 grandchildren;
sister Mary Todhunter of Amherst; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents, George and Mary (nee Vanyko)
Super, and 2 brothers: Ed and Nick Super.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at 1 p.m. at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain, with the Reverend David Smith, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. The Lorain American Legion Post #30 and VFW
Mullen-Murry Post #451 will also conduct military services.
