Mary Lu Frances Witte, 77, Enjoyed Painting and Traveling

Mary Lu Frances Witte (nee: Enright), 77 years of age and a resident of Westlake, passed away June 10, 2007 at Bradley Bay Nursing Home in Bay Village, following a lengthy illness.

She was born December 11, 1929 in Eureka, California, where she was raised until age sixteen. Mary moved to Lorain and graduated from Lorain High School with the class of 1947. She moved to Amherst in 1958 prior to moving to Westlake in 1971. Westlake has been her home for the last thirty-six years.

Mary worked for Lorain Electronics and then as a customer account manager at Arwood Corporation. She was a member of the Amherst Twig Benders. Mary enjoyed painting and traveling.

Survivors include her sons Rudy E. Witte of Olmsted Falls, and Michael E. Witte of Amherst; her daughters Karen McPhee of Charlotte, North Carolina and Susan Neistadt of Avon; her grandchildren Dominic Howard, Katelyn Witte, Lydia Witte, Haley Witte, Jennifer McPhee, Megan McPhee, Lyndsay McPhee, and Michael McPhee; her brother William Enright of Lorain; and her sister Sandy Young of Amherst.

She was preceded in death by her parents Maurice Anthony and Mildred Lucille Enright (nee: Aubrey).

Friends may call Wednesday, June 13, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home, 373 Cleveland Avenue, Amherst. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 14, 2007 at 11 a.m. from the funeral home. The Rev. Fr. Joseph Warner, associate pastor of St. Hilary’s Catholic Church in Fairlawn, Ohio will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Visiting Nurse Association for Hospice, 2500 E. 22nd Street, Cleveland, Ohio 4115-3204.
