Donna K. Buri, 53, Nurse's Aid
Donna K. Buri, (nee Ford), age 53, of Lorain, died Sunday June 17, 2007 at the New Life Hospice Center of Saint Joseph following an extended illness.Donna was born in Elyria, Ohio on September 2, 1953 and had been a resident of Lorain for the past thirty-four years coming from North Ridgeville
Mrs. Buri was a 1972 graduate of North Ridgeville High School. She was employed for a number of years as a nurse’s aid at the Anchor Lodge Nursing Home from which she retired in 2002.
A parishioner of Saint Mary of the Lake Catholic Church in Lorain, she enjoyed collecting owls, playing bingo, and working with puzzle books.
Survivors include her husband of thirty-four years Michael A. Mick Buri, a son Jeffrey Buri of Lorain, step-son Christopher J. Buri of Wellington, five grandchildren, brothers Larry T. Ford of Brighton Township, Donald A. Ford of Sullivan, and sisters Marilyn J. Ford of Lorain, Nancy E. Lacock of Sullivan, and Peggy Y. Bakata of South Amherst.
She was preceded in death by a son David M. Buri, and by her parents David and Martha (nee Foster) Ford.
A memorial mass will be celebrated Monday June 25, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Mary of the Lake Catholic Church at 310 Eighth Street with the Reverend Daniel O. Davis, Pastor of the church officiating.
