Felix A. Rodriguez, 80, Worked in the BOP Shop of United States Steel for 38 Years

Felix A. Rodriguez, 80 of Lorain, died Monday, June 25, 2007 in Community Health Partners Hospital, Lorain following a lengthy illness.

He was born October 9, 1926 in Yauco, Puerto Rico. He came to Lorain in 1952.

Mr. Rodriguez worked in the BOP Shop of United States Steel. He retired in 1988 after 38 years of service.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain. He was also a member of the United Steel Workers 1104, Lorain. He enjoyed raising Cockatiels, Parakeets, dogs and cats. He was an avid gardener. He liked to tend his yard and gardens. He relished playing with his grandchildren.

Among the survivors are his wife of 54 years Reina Isabel (nee Lugo) Rodriguez; sons Felix, Jr., Albert, Manuel, Cielo, Jose and Ricardo Rodriguez all of Lorain and Franklin Rodriguez of Louisville, Kentucky; daughters Maria Rodriguez and Luz Laporta of Lorain and Migdalia Luccio of Creston; a brother Otileo Rodriguez of Lancaster, Pennsylvania; 25
grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Salvadore Caraballo and Elivira
Ayala and brothers Wilson and Alberto Rodriguez.

Friends may call Friday, June 29, 2007, 2:00 to 4:00 to 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain. Funeral service will be Saturday, June 30, 2007, 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Deacon Tony Degracia of Sacred Heart Chapel will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
