Margaret J. O'Neal, 67, Retired from the Ford Motor Company in Lorain

Photo of Margaret J. O'Neal Margaret J. O'Neal, 67 of Vermilion, died Saturday, July 7, 2007 at her daughter's home, following a lengthy illness.

She was born May 13, 1940 in Kingwood, West Virginia and has lived in Vermilion since 1970, moving from LaGrange.

She worked for the Ford Motor Company in Lorain as an assembler from 1973 until retiring in 1985. She attended the Church of Christ in Amherst and enjoyed crocheting, crafts, gardening and lawn care projects.

She is survived by her daughters, Marjorie March of Vermilion, Linda Barnes of Port Huron, Michigan, Peg O'Neal of Norwalk, Nancy Lloyd of Florence, Alabama and Elizabeth Krause of Vermilion; sons, Johnny O'Neal, Jr. of Amherst, Chuck Phillips of Florida and Tim O'Neal of Vermilion; 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; brothers, Russell McGinnis of Michigan and Gary McGinnis of Florida; sister, Shirley Klingman of Greenwich.

Preceding her in death were her husband, John W. O'Neal, parents, Everett and Lucille (nee Smith) McGinnis, grandson, Eric O'Neal and sisters, Janet Newton and Betty Smith.

Friends may call on Wednesday, July 11, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, where services will be on Thursday, July 12, 2007 at 10 a.m.
Interment will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst.
