Dolores J. �Dee� Kulas, 66, CHP Physical Therapy Technician

Mrs. Kulas was born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania on August 14, 1940 and was raised in Elyria, Ohio. She had been a resident of Lorain since 1968.
Dee graduated from Elyria High School and went on to enroll in the Kennedy School of Cosmetology of Elyria. After receiving her cosmetologist’s license from the State of Ohio, she worked for the former Mian’s Style Salon of Elyria. She later was employed as a retail sales associate for the both Ontario and K-Mart. She most recently served as a physical therapy technician at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center in Lorain. She retired from the position in 2006 following ten years of service with the health care provider.
She was a parishioner of the Catholic Church of Saint Peter. Her interests included porcelain dolls, ceramics, playing bingo, visits to Las Vegas, Nevada.
She is survived by her son Michael Kulas residing in Lorain, daughters Michelle Daly of Wellington and Lori Sheriff of Lorain, six grandchildren, sister Peggy Palmer of Elyria and brother Raymond Stauffer of Oberlin.
Mrs. Kulas was preceded in death by her husband Raymond in 2005 and by her parents Raymond and Irene (nee: Gasch) Stauffer.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at 10:30 a.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. The Reverend Dr. Ralph Krupp, Permanent Deacon representing the Church of Saint Peter will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain. The family requests those attending services to wear comfortable, bright colored clothing as opposed to darker colored, somber, business-casual attire.
The family requested that memorial contributions be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 332 North Lauderdale, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
