Katherine M. Udovich, 87, Avid Bowler, Golfer & Indians Fan; Enjoyed Gardening
Katherine M. Udovich (nee: Haller), 87, of Lorain, died Tuesday July 17, 2007 while under the care of Hospice of the Western Reserve at Anchor Lodge Nursing Home in Lorain after a lengthy illness.She was born September 9, 1919 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident.
Mrs. Udovich worked at Western-Automatic in Elyria as a Time-Keeper and File Clerk and also at O’Neil’s Department Store at Sheffield Center.
She was a member of Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Lorain. She enjoyed golfing and league bowling and bowled at Saxon Lanes and Croatian Club. She was an avid baseball fan and Cleveland Indians fan and enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and gardening.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years Joseph J. Udovich, brothers George Haller of Lorain and Paul Haller of Amherst and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph & Mary Haller (nee Alexa), sister Ann Bandersky and brothers Thomas Haller, Steven Haller, Joseph Haller, John Haller and Mathew Haller.
There will be no visitation. The mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, 1705 E. 31st St, Lorain. The Rev. Paul Krajnik, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
