Mary C. Ketcham , 83, Irving School Cafeteria Manager

She was born in Midland, Pennsylvania on October 22, 1923 and had been a resident of Lorain since her childhood.
Mary was a graduate of Lorain High School as a member of the Class of 1942. She was employed as a clerk in the Time Office of the National Tube Company (predecessor of United States Steel Corporation), and later as a bookkeeper for the Lorain Products Corporation. She most recently served as a cafeteria manager for the Lorain Public School System at Irving School; she retired from the school district in 1987 following more than twenty years of service with the district.
Mrs. Ketcham was a parishioner of the Catholic Church of Saint Peter in Lorain whose interests included sewing, crocheting, and cooking.
She is survived by her husband of sixty-one years Stanley Ketcham, Sr., sons Richard of Orange County, California, Daniel and Stanley, Jr. both of Lorain, five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, brothers Nick Breno of Florida and Tom Breno of Lorain, and by sisters Bea Pogachnic of Vermilion and Fran Canalos of Lorain.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Elaine Marie Ketcham, by her parents Nick and Catherine (nee Biondillo) Breno, and by brothers Francis Breno in infancy and Anthony Breno who died earlier this week.
Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 8:00 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel with the Reverend Kenneth Wolnowski, Pastor of the Catholic Church of Saint Peter officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
