Arnold Leighton Posey, Sr, 76, Veteran of the U.S. Air Force

He was born March 11, 1931 in Rankin, Illinois, and has been a Vermilion resident for the past 28 years, moving from Elyria.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a repairman for Ford Motor in Lorain for 32 years.
He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Elyria. He was also a member of the Elyria AMVETS Post # 32, the Elyria Eagles, the Elyria Moose Club, and Ford UAW Local # 425. He enjoyed bowling on a Ford bowling league, camping, fishing, boating, and gardening.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Irene (nee: Saari); 3 sons, Bill Posey of Tomball, TX, Victor Posey of SC and Arnold Posey, Jr. of Idaho; a daughter, Susan Kish of Lorain, 13 grandchildren, several great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Dennis Posey and Elmer "Junior" Posey both of Frankford, IN and a sister, Marlene Fisher of Kokomo, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer E. and Gladys (nee: Aaron) Posey.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 27, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio.
Services will be held at the Riddle Funeral Home, Saturday, July 28, 2007, at 10 a.m. with the Pastor Paul Males, associate pastor of the Rocky River Baptist Church, officiating.
Interment will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon, where Military Graveside Honors will be conducted by the Vermilion Veterans Council.
