Charles A. ''Good Time Charlie'' Bennington, 65, Mid City Pub Manager

He was born January 20, 1942 in St. Clairsville, Ohio and had resided in Lorain most of his life.
He was the past owner and operator of Good Time Charlie’s in Lorain and currently was the manager of the Mid City Pub in Lorain
Charlie was active with the Special Wish Foundation and various fund-raisers in the Lorain community. He was a member of Lorain Moose Lodge, Amherst Eagles, Russo-Slav Club in Lorain and the American Slovak Club in Lorain.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years Rose Bennington, sons Scott Bennington of Cincinnati and Adam Bennington of Lorain, daughters Hope Settie of Lorain, Amanda Berry of Lorain and Candace Bennington of Sheffield, stepdaughter Melissa Gray of Wisconsin, mother Ellen Powell (nee Baker) of Wheeling, West Virginia and sister Jackie Hollinghead of Wheeling, West Virginia and several grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son Jeffrey S. Bennington in 1997, father Theodore Bennington and sister Dorothy Redman.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 14, 2007, from 1-3 and 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday, August 15, 2007 from 1to 3 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Gluvna Shimo Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain. Private funeral services will be held.
