Donald Lee Betts, 31, Enjoyed Being a DJ
Donald Lee Betts, age 31, of Oberlin, died unexpectedly Tuesday August 21st, 2007 in New Russia Township. He was born in Germany and had been a resident of Oberlin since February of this year coming from Knoxville, Tennessee.Don was a graduate of Butler High School in Huntsville, Alabama. He was currently employed as a cook for the Oberlin Early Childhood Development Center. He had previously been employed by the Copper Cellar Restaurant in Knoxville.
In his free time he enjoyed working as a disc jockey and spending time with his children.
Mr. Betts is survived by his wife of three years Nicole (nee Russo) son River Kai Betts and daughter Sylvia Hernandez-Betts, father Donald L. Hall of Henrietta Township, mother Tina Jo Betts of Hunstville, Alabama, step-father John Betts also of Huntsville, brothers William Betts of Virginia and Joey Betts of Nashville, Tennessee, along with two step brothers.
