Margaret Yerico, 95, Enjoyed playing cards

Photo of Margaret Yerico Margaret S. Yerico (nee McPhie), 95 of Vermilion, died Wednesday, August 29, 2007 in Kingston of Vermilion after a short illness.

She was born April 4, 1912 in Coatbridge, Scotland and has been a Vermilion resident since 1967 moving from Lorain.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Lorain and SOS (Serving Our Seniors) where she enjoyed playing cards. Mrs. Yerico was an avid bowler and also enjoyed gardening, crocheting, knitting, and reading.

Survivors include her son, Charles Yerico of Solon, OH; daughters, Clara Emerick of St. Augustine, FL, and Margaret M. Gall of Elyria; 14 Grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her husband Anthony Yerico in 1980, parents, Angus and Ann (nee Allan) McPhie, daughter, Ann Furci in 1981 and brothers, Malcolm and John McPhie.

Friends may call Friday, Aug. 31, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007 with the Rev. Tom Robinson, pastor of Avon Lake Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst.
