Irene Rose Marshall, 91, Enjoyed Tatting Doilies for the Church

Irene Rose Marshall (nee Thomas), 91 of Lorain, died Thursday, September 6, 2007 in New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, Lorain after a lengthy illness.

She was born August 18, 1916 in Lorain and had been a Tucson, Arizona resident for 35 years before moving back to Lorain in 2004.

She was a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Tucson, Arizona and the Catholic Church of St. Peter, Lorain. She enjoyed tatting doilies for the church, crocheting, baking, and cake decorating.

Survivors include her niece, Germaine Pavelschak of Lorain, and nephew, Richard Mielcarek of Lorain.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Edward Marshall; parents, Walter and Anna (nee Bozyk) Thomas; infant son Edward Marshall; and sister, Lucille Mielcarek.

Friends may call Friday Sept. 7, 2007 from 7-9 pm at the Dombrowski-Humphrey-Riddle Funeral Home 1939 Oberlin Ave. Lorain, OH 44052.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007 at 10:00 am at the Catholic Church of St. Peter 3501 Oberlin Ave. Lorain, OH 44053, with the Rev. Chuck Henkle O.F.M Conv.officiating.

Burial will be at Holly Hope Cemetery in Tucson, Arizona.
