Virginia M. Jaycox, 80, Avid Fisherman

Photo of Virginia M. Jaycox Virginia M. Jaycox, 80 (nee Traxler) of Lorain died on Saturday, September 15, 2007 at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland following complications arising from surgery.

Mrs. Jaycox was born in Lorain, Ohio on April 27, 1927. She was the 1st mate on the fishing charter boat the Miss Majestic, operated by her husband, Capt R. A. Jaycox. She has lived in Lorain all her life. She was an avid fisherman and loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Capt. R. A. Jaycox, daughter Carol Pozega of Lorain, son Robert A. Jaycox, Jr of Berlin Heights, 4 grandchildren and five great grandchildren, sisters Evangeline Clawson of Avon, Rita Kelly of Lorain, and a brother William Traxler of Waterbury, CN.

Mrs. Jaycox was preceded in death by her parents William and Mary Traxler, and several brothers and sisters.

Friends may call at Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool home for Funerals, Tuesday, September 17, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM, at the funeral home, Wednesday, September 18, 2007 with Rev. James Ols, pastor of St. Vincent de Paul Church, officiating.

Burial will be in the Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery Amherst Township, OH.
