Charlotte A. Lisicky, 73, Active In Polish Fraternal & Church Groups

Charlotte A. Lisicky (nee Kulas), 73, of Lorain, died Friday September 21, 2007 in the emergency room at Medina General Hospital in Medina after a lengthy illness.

She was born December 27, 1933 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident.

Charlotte was a graduate of St. Stanislaus Elementary School and Lorain High School with the class of 1951B.

She worked as a bookkeeper for the Style Center clothing stores in Lorain and Elyria from 1951-1982.

Charlotte was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Lorain where she was a founding member and past president of the Holy Trinity Seniors and past president of the Holy Trinity PTU. She was a member and treasurer of the Kay Cee Guild, member and past president of the PACC Ladies Auxiliary, member and treasurer of the Lorain Catholic High School Ladies Guild, member and past director of the Union of Poles IPNA of Cleveland and a member and past secretary of the Union of Poles Branch #59 in Lorain.

For 20 years Charlotte served as the scorekeeper for all Freshmen, Junior Varsity and Varsity basketball games at Lorain Catholic High School. She enjoyed traveling and planning bus trips to various locations.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years John E. Lisicky, daughter Terese A. “Terri” Davis and her husband James of Elyria Township, granddaughter Amanda R. Ackerman of Boynton Beach, Florida and sister Barbara Lawhead and her husband James of Lorain. She was preceded in death by an infant son John Lisicky, mother Rose F. Kulas and father Charles Samansky.

The family will receive friends Monday 2-9 PM at the Gluvna Shimo Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 9:30 AM in the funeral chapel followed by the mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 2428 Elyria Ave., Lorain. The Rev. David A. Novak, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
