Jeannette Bereznak, 78, Enjoyed Working on Crossword Puzzles

Jeannette Bereznak, 78 of Missouri City, Texas, formerly of Lorain, died Wednesday, September 26, 2007 following a lengthy illness.

She was born June 16, 1929 in Lorain where she lived until moving to Texas 25 years ago.

She graduated from Lorain High School and was formerly a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Lorain.

She worked at Fisher Foods on Broadway in the meat department, and also at Jay's Supermarket, Meyer Goldberg's and Fligner's. She enjoyed working on crossword puzzles, reading and crafts.

She is survived by her son, Paul Bereznak of Houston, Texas; 2 grandchildren; sisters, Bernice Bach and Eleanor Saltis, both of Lorain; brothers, Milton Sadowski and Eugene Sadowski, both of Lorain. She was preceded-in-death by her parents, Florian and Catherine (nee Blaczjowski) Sadowski, sister, Adeline Prosowski and brother, Alphonse Sadowski.

Visitation will be private. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 1, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 418 W. 15th Street, Lorain. The Reverend Robert J. Glepko, pastor, will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
