Judith Ann Sislowski, 60, Retired Teacher

She was born June 1, 1947 in Pittsburgh, PA and had lived in Vermilion since 1970. She had also lived in Amherst and Elwood City, PA. She taught Middle School and High School English, French and Journalism for 27 years in the Vermilion Schools System. She retired in 2002.
She had been a member of the Vermilion Teachers Association, the Ohio Education Association, and the National Education Association. She had been a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.
She enjoyed gourmet cooking for family and friends, gardening, art, photography, and interior design.
Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Ron Sislowski; a daughter, Erin Wereb of Lakewood; son, Michael Sislowski of Olmsted Falls; granddaughter, Cameron Wereb; brothers, Dave Collins of Amherst and Michael Collins of South Bend, IN.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Martin J. and Jean (nee Totten) Collins.
Friends may call Thursday, October 4, 2007 from 3 - 8 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Friday at 10 a.m. Father Phil Feltman will officiate. Interment will follow in Rugby Cemetery, Brownhelm Township.
