Wanda Jean Minnich , 64, Co-owned and operated Zeppe's Pizzeria

She was born March 13, 1943 in Lorain and had been a lifelong resident. She graduated from Lorain St. Mary's and was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Lorain, where she had worked as a part-time secretary and served on the parish council. She had also worked as a part-time secretary at St. Anthony parish in Lorain and was a 3rd Order Secular Franciscan.
Most recently, she and her husband had co-owned and operated Zeppe's Pizzeria in Avon for the past 3 years. She enjoyed flower gardening, swimming, animals, and reading, especially mystery novels.
She is survived by her husband, John H. Minnich of Lorain; daughters, Kelly Mantin and Shannon Minnich Young, both of Amherst; sons, Patrick Minnich of Avon and David Becker of Louisiana; 2 grandchildren, Tyler and Jared; sister, Linda O'Donnell of Elyria. She was preceded-in-death by her parents, Edward and Wanda V. Romanski and brother, Edward Romanski.
Friends may call on Sunday, October 7, 2007 from 4-8 p.m. at the Dombrowski-Humphrey-Riddle Funeral Home, 1939 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain. Closing prayers will be said at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, October 8, 2007 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 418 W. 15th Street, Lorain. The Reverend Robert J. Glepko and Deacon Bob Dybo will concelebrate. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
