Charlotte J. Strasshofer, 69, Enjoyed crafts
Charlotte J. Strasshofer, 69 of Vermilion, died Friday, October 5, 2007 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, Lorain after a short illness.
She was born December 22, 1942 in Amherst and grew up in Lakewood. She lived in Vermilion since 1981 moving from N. Ridgeville. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and enjoyed crafts.
Survivors include her husband Charles Strasshofer, Sr.; 2 daughters, Cathy Lough of Vermilion and Carla Crandall of Vermilion; 3 sons, Charles Strasshofer, Jr of Highland Heights, Corey Strasshofer, Louisville, KY and Craig Strasshofer of Warwick, Rhode Island; 16 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren ; 3 brothers, James Crowe of NC, Jeff Crowe of Tucson, AZ, Tim Gallo of Austintown; and stepfather, Joe Gallo of Lakewood.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Zack and Jean Crowe, and her daughter, Christine Strasshofer in 1977. Friends may call Monday, October 8, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion.
Prayers will be said at the Riddle Funeral Home Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 731 Exchange Street, Vermilion with Reverend Jeffrey Sikorski officiating.
Burial will be in Meadowgreen Memorial Park, Huron.
