Christine M. Sekelsky, 89, Worked in Supply Department at St. Joseph
Christine M. Sekelsky, 89, of Lorain, died Tuesday October 9, 2007 in the emergency room at Community Health Partners Hospital in Lorain after a sudden illness.She was born August 23, 1918 in Clymer, Pennsylvania and had resided in Lorain since childhood.
Chris worked at St. Joseph Hospital in Lorain in the central supply department for 20 years before retiring. Prior to that she worked at the American Stove Works in Lorain.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Lorain. She enjoyed bowling, sewing, gardening and social activities.
She is survived by her sisters Mary C. Toth of Lorain and Grace I. Vakerics of Upland, California and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph & Veronica Sekelsky (nee Perhach), sister Margaret Fowler and brothers Edward Sekelsky and Ervin Sekelsky.
A funeral mass will be held Monday, October 15, 2007 at 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 2428 Elyria Ave., Lorain. The Rev. David A. Novak, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
