Larry Ray Epling, 58, Veteran of the United States Marine Corp

He was born July 18, 1949 in Madison, West Virginia and has resided in Vermilion since 1960. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp serving from 1969-71.
He retired from the Ford Motor Company Lorain Plant in 2006 after over 30 years of employment. He was a member of American Legion Post 397 in Vermilion. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing golf.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Sandy Epling (nee McClain) of Vermilion; daughter, Tina Johnston of Lorain; 5 granddaughters; mother, Lea Taylor of Lorain; brother, Gary Epling of Lorain; sister, Sandy Reynolds of Lorain. Preceding him in death were his father, Bill Ray Epling and a brother, Jerry Epling.
Friends may call Wednesday, October 17, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, where services will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Reverend Ray Carpenter, pastor at Faith Baptist Church, North Ridgeville, will officiate.
