Mark L. Maxwell, 49, Worked at Bureau of Worker's Comp

Photo of Mark L. Maxwell Mark L. Maxwell, 49, of Lorain, died Saturday October 20, 2007 in the emergency room at Community Regional Medical Center in Lorain after suffering an apparent heart attack at home.

He was born December 20, 1957 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident. He was a graduate of Lorain High School.

Mark worked as a Claims Adjuster for the Bureau of Worker’s Compensation in Garfield Heights for over 20 years.

He attended St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church in Lorain and was an avid golfer and fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Cavaliers.

He is survived by his wife Jean Maxwell (nee Kalinowski), daughters Taylor Maxwell with the Great Lakes Naval Academy in Illinois and Paige Maxwell of North Olmsted, son Brandon Maxwell at home, stepdaughters Katie Fechko of Brunswick, Georgia and Jillian Fechko at home, stepson Garrett Fechko at home, brothers Ron Maxwell of Lorain, Joe Maxwell of Marysville, Washington and Gary Maxwell of Lorain and sisters Beverly Coates of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee and Robin Svoboda of Vermilion. He was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Rhea Maxwell (nee Kendig).

The family will receive friends Tuesday 2-4, 7-9 PM at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 9:30 AM in the funeral chapel followed by the mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church, 309 7th St., Lorain. The Rev. Daniel O. Divis, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
