Wanda G. Adkins, 77, Spending time with her family

She was born in Graydon, W VA on December 14, 1929 and had resided in Sheffield Lake for many years. She had a multitude of talents including making curtains, painting, gardening, cooking, canning food and taking care of her dog, “Bootsie”. Her greatest joy, however, came from spending time with her family as she treasured her son, Tony, her grand daughter, Emma “Baby Doll”,and her daughter-in-law, Marti. She also enjoyed taking care of her late husband, William.

Survivors include her beloved Son, Tony and Daughter-in-law, Marti Adkins of Sheffield Lake, loving grand daughter, Emma, brothers, Charles Silva of Philadelphia, PA, and Stanley Silva of Eustis, FL, sister-in-law, Dolly Sutton of W VA, best friend, Sally Fitzgerald of Sheffield Lake and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Adkins, brothers, Oscar Silva and Raymond Silva, sisters, Laura Meadows and Ginny Blair and her parents William and Desi (nee Shrewsberry) Silva.

Friends may call Tuesday, October 30, 2007 from 4-8 p.m. at Wyers Funeral Chapel 2900 North Ridge Rd. Sheffield Township where services will be held Wednesday October 31, 2007 at 11 a.m. Officiating will be Pastor Tim Drost. Burial to follow in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
