Edith Kerns, 95, She enjoyed caring for her dogs

She was born in Elkins W VA on February 17, 1912 and had resided in Elyria for many years. She enjoyed caring for her dogs, cooking, canning food, gardening and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Robert C. Kerns, sons, Gerald Gordon of Collins, OH and Kenneth Gordon of PA, sisters, Louise, Kaye, Ruth Ann and Zula “Sue”. Nine grandchildren, Sixteen great-grandchildren, ten great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Rev. James Gordon and daughter, Helen Gordon, brothers Dale, Richard and Donald, sisters, Opal and Ruby and her parents, Thadeus and Alice (nee Teter) Jordan.

Friends may call Monday October 29, 2007 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Wyers Funeral Chapel 2900 North Ridge Rd. Sheffield Township where services will be held Tuesday October 30, 2007 at 11 a.m. Burial to follow in North Murray Ridge Cemetery, Elyria.
