Michael N. Pahulick, 86, He earned the Philippine Liberation Ribbon with one bronze star
Michael N. Pahulick, 86 of Elyria died early Friday morning, November 2, 2007 at his home following a brief illness. He was in the company of his family at the time of death.Michael was born in Shenandoah, PA on November 21, 1920. He graduated from Shenandoah High School and lived for a short time in McKee Rock, PA before moving to Lorain in the early 1950's but has resided in Elyria for the past 30 years.
He served in the U.S. Army during WW II and retired from the military as a Corporal in 1949. He earned the Philippine Liberation Ribbon with one bronze star, the American Defense Service Medal, and the Asiatic Pacific Service Medal with 2 bronze stars. He was a lifetime member of the VFW.
Michael was an employee of Ford Motor Company in Lorain and retired in 1982 after 24 years.
He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Lorain. He enjoyed movies, was an avid reader, and a lifelong enthusiastic supporter of both the Pittsburgh Steelers Football Team and the Pittsburgh Pirates Baseball Team.
Michael is survived by his daughter and Son-In-Law Mary and Rick Cooper of Elyria, grandson Matthew Pahulick Cooper of Elyria, brothers Joe Pahulick of McKeeRock, PA., and Steve Pahulick of North Hills, CA.
He was preceded in death by his wife Violet B. (nee Miller) Pahulick in 1997, parents Frankand Catherine Pahulick, Sister Ann Linkiewicz, brothers Al Pahulick and John Pahulick.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
