She is survived by her son Rev. James D. Cooke, Jr. and his wife Tammy and grandchildren Courtney Cooke and Austin Cooke all of Hickory, North Carolina, nephews Marty Pennington and his wife Nichole of Conover, North Carolina and Dean Pennington and his wife Kym of Hickory, North Carolina, niece Selena Cook of Conover, North Carolina and great nieces and great nephews Seth Pennington, Lillie Pennington and Grace Pennington, Anthony Cook, Alena Griffin, Alexis Pennington, Abby Pennington, Ben Pennington and Brayden Pennington. She was preceded in death by her husband Jim Savett in 2005, parents Solomon & Julia Pennington (nee Fleming), twin brother Toby Pennington and his wife Patsy Pennington, brothers Rob Pennington, George Pennington and Reese Pennington and sisters Billie Haney and Kate Crouch.
