Leona Prosciutti, 96, Lampl Fashion Company Seamstress
Leona Prosciutti (nee Micjan), age 96, of Lorain, died Friday, November 23, 2007 in the Medical Intensive Care Unit at Community Regional Medical Center in Lorain following a brief illness.She was born in Daisytown, Pennsylvania on May 13, 1911 and had been a resident of Lorain since her childhood.
As a youngster, Leona attended Holy Trinity Parochial School in Lorain. She was formerly employed as a seamstress for the Lampl Fashion Company of Cleveland.
In her free time Mrs. Prosciutti enjoyed vegetable gardening and sewing.
Survivors include a daughter Frances Krzak of Lorain, three grandsons, 10 great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Armando Prosciutti, by a son John Vitelli, by her parents John and Katarina (nee Rodinsky) Micjan, by brothers John Micjan and Joseph Mitchell, and by sisters Marie Root and Anna Czarney.
Private family graveside services will be conducted Tuesday November 27th, in Calvary Cemetery, 555 North Ridge Road, Lorain.
