Cal Staller, 92, Enjoyed Golf, Bowling, Fishing and Duplicate Bridge
Cal Staller, 92, of Sheffield Lake, died Monday December 3, 2007 at Autumn Aegis Nursing Home in Lorain.He was born March 20, 1915 in Lorain and had resided in Sheffield Lake since 1970.
Cal worked at American Crucible in Lorain as a foreman in the centrifugal force department until retirement.
He was a graduate of Lorain High School and enjoyed golf, bowling, fishing, and duplicate bridge.
He is survived by his son Robert A. Staller of Peoria, Arizona, daughters Susan J. Bodak of Lorain and Pam Barlow of Sheffield Lake, 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson and sisters June Moes of Vermilion and Shirley Bungart of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years Mary Alice Staller in 1993, parents Matthew and Anne Staller (nee Wavrick) and brother Harlan Staller.
There will be no visitation. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain. The Rev. Jimmy Madsen, co-pastor of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lorain, will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Lorain.
