Florence A. Lyons, 80, Member of Rosa Garibaldi Lodge # 1818
Florence A. Lyons (nee Martello), age 80, of Lorain, died Wednesday December 5, 2007 at Community Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.
She was born in Brownsville, Pennsylvania on February 7, 1927 and had been a resident of Lorain since 1982. She had previously resided in Brownsville as well as Hyattsville, Maryland.
Florence was a graduate of Brownsville High School and a member of Rosa Garibaldi Lodge # 1818 of the sons of Italy.
In her free time she enjoyed participating in league bowling activity at both Rebman Recreation and Shoreway Lanes.
Survivors include her son Michael Patrlja and his wife Sonja (nee Braun). She was preceded in death by her parents Angelo and Mary Martello and by a brother John Dimperio.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel with Reverend Mr. James Debrason, Permanent Deacon representing Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
