Irene M. Sivert, 83, Enjoyed Devoting Time To Family

Photo of Irene M. Sivert Irene M. Sivert (nee Mays), age 83, of Sheffield Lake, died Friday December 7, 2007 at Saint John West Shore Hospital following a brief illness.

Mrs. Sivert was born in Cleveland on October 23, 1924 and had been a resident of Lorain County since 1979.

She enjoyed spending time with her extended family and was proud to have been part of a recent photograph which depicted five generations. In her free time, she enjoyed playing various card games.

Irene is survived by her son Ernie “Buddy” Sivert, Jr. of Sheffield Lake, daughter Karen Biltz, Bonnie Griffith, Linda Mullins, and Lori Parlett all of Sheffield Lake, sixteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter, and a sister Mildred Kozma of Cleveland.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ernie Sivert, Sr. in 1990, be her parents Louis and Mary (nee Andre) Mays, brothers Albert and Charles Mays, and sisters Edith Ferritto, Lela Seitz, and Ruth Roland.

Friends may call Monday from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel with the Reverend Rod Hollen, Pastor of Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
